MOLESKIN:
What the heck was I thinking. I changed a few times this morning before everyone arrived how we would actually make our way around Rumble. I couldn’t sleep last night because I kept thinking what would be best. I know it was probably boring doing so much of the same route. I did that so we could minimize logistics. Kept us close to the school. About 20 minutes be we started I locked in a route. Sharpie showed up early to help me set up. We quickly realized we needed 10 minutes for set up. Not 45. Thanks Sharpie for coming. Always enjoy your company. We got the signs and coupons in place. Then we got to talk a little while before the first Pax showed up. Monty was the first Rucker to show up. We got to 0530 and he was the only Rucker there. He briefly committed to running with us. He was ready to go. Bishop got there and he had a partner. I took them for there briefing of the route. I more than likely confused the heck out of the routing but they said they understood. :joy:. They started a few minutes early. Sharpie, Moonshine and myself were waiting for others Around 0557 there was a straight convoy of vehicles coming down Cheraw. Car after car. The remaining Pax came piling in! 15 more Pax rolled up and we started our pre brief of the route. Once complete we broke down into 2 teams. Ruckers were making their way back to start station 2. So the running teams started on station 3 and 4. So we were off. I quickly realized I underestimated the mileage we would all be covering. There was never a point that we thought we should adjust. However, atleast with my group there was a moment we thought “dang! What are we doing!” We just kept running. It definitely turned into a heavy run/ruck distance Q. No one ever complained. Moonshine covered more distance today than he ever has in a workout. Did amazing. He’s officially a runner! I even heard he loved it. Just saying. Great mumble chatter throughout. Trey Scarlett was our FNG today. He’s from Darlington. We met a few years back. When I saw him this morning I walked up to him and said “I know you”. He runs a furniture company in Darlington and we purchased some items from him and he helped me load in truck a while ago. Trey is a beast! He also knows Brony. The two of the had to leave early. We were unable to name Trey. I will remain in touch and get him back out. No name till he finishes with COT. Almost unfair. Brony and Trey completed 1.5 hours of work. Rules are rules. I brought some bananas, oranges, water and LMNT packets. Thankfully. Not sure I could have completed without. :joy:. Personally the hardest thing for me was tje ⛽️ pumpers. In theory this was supposed to be a break. By the time we got to them I was unable to do the dang exercise. This was our second to last station. Everything always sounds good while you’re laying on a pillow. Strong work men! Thank you for coming out. Go get some rest.
