Moleskin:

It was the night before the workout and I had no idea what we would do. I had said we would not do legs and instead would focus on arms or possibly abs. So that was the intent, but there was a disconnect: I was thinking leg exercises. Now you might retort that running is a leg exercise. I would say you are correct, but my 10pm self did not think about that and just went with it (you might see a trend this morning…). So we would do exercises that would be a multiple of 24 or 12 in count ideally adding up to a multiple of 24. If you don’t know the drill, it is because I like my exercise counts to relate to the day of the month. But after about 25 I tend to disregard that as I don’t think it is the best to have very high rep counts very often. But back to the regularly scheduled program. With looking for non-legs in mind, I decided that a 2ish mile run with reps at every light pole would make sense. It did make sense to me. So I picked arm and ab exercises and we were all set (disregard that I had about 2x the amount of exercises planned than what we went through… I am definitely not having an issue with timing and exercises for my workouts…).

So we started of and things were going well. The warmup was starting as expected until I got asked to demonstrate Imperial Walkers. Well, I am not sure what I was thinking and neither did the PAX because I ended up doing Hillbilly Walkers and then could not make myself do the cadence properly to demonstrate the actual Imperial Walkers. But when we did the exercise it seemed to go well. It did end up being 24 reps when I meant to do 12 because I started zoning out during the cadence. But we made it through. Pinto and Big Hurt sounded like they were missing something when we got back halfway through the warmup so I decided to add in a lot of “Alrighty”‘s for them.

The regular workout went well. There were definitely some conversations and questions about why I was skipping some light poles and not others (I am looking at you fire station light pole 1). But since I was the Q they just had to deal with the inconsistency. We ended up a little into the Grove before needing to turn around due to time constraints and by then Spider Merkins were coming up. I really, really did not want to do those and was wondering why I even inclides them. But due to the time constraints I was forced to go to an Indian Run before Spider Merkins. But just to satiate Big Worm, we did 12 single count ones at the end. Then we were on to Gravity Stretch and the COT.

We got to hear about several different things, but me being tired, or just being a bad listener, has already forgotten. So I will just wrap this up. Thank you to everyone who came out this morning. I hope you enjoyed and were able to get a good workout in. Have a blessed day!
