Moleskin:
It was dark out and Five points was red for me. I was ready to go with a couple minutes to spare before the workout began. By my calculations, I would get there just on time for the workout to begin. However there was one catch: the lights needed to not sit on red for a couple of minutes. As I waited, I saw the lights turn green across from me. I was happy to see it. My lights were red. But that just means that my lights will turn green in just a couple of seconds. Right? Right?! Well, unfortunately that is not how Five Points works. So I had to wait a couple of minutes before it turned green for me despite me and only 1 other car being at the light. I am definitely not salty at all… It definitely was not me redirecting my frustration at not accounting for the lights when deciding when to leave for the workout to get there on time…
That aside, I arrived and we were off to the races. The sprinklers started so the initial warmup was not quite as long as it would have been since getting drenched was not on my agenda. Bionic quickly moved the flag once the sprinklers went off. Most of the workout went well. We even got to see Yogi do some Bear Crawls which I hear is quite rare. We also we regailed with the tales of the workouts in Charlotte that were both tough. One was a lot of blocks and the other was a lot of arms and Burpees. So I guess it fits right in with what we did while Yogi was downrange. We also got to hear about how at Spartans they are to have their knee touch down on a pad in order to count Lunges. I personally would not recommend this on concrete, and neither does Sharpie.
That pretty much wraps things up. We did a 26 Burpee buyout before Bionic had to leave since he had to leave early. Beyond that we just did a Gravity Stretch and the COT. I hear some regions are rejecting the catharsis and other health benefits of the Gravity Stretch. But that is their loss.
Well, thanks for letting me lead this morning. Have a blessed day!
