Moleskin:
This morning was a nice cool morning. We started a little late, but that was not really a problem since we were mainly going to do Bear Crawls (where is CDC when you need him?). Things started out pretty good at the start with a nice and easy warmup. After that came the hard part.
We began our ardous adventure by starting a Bear Crawl from the start of the 1st tennis court to the end of the last tennis court. Now this may not sound bad on paper, but trust me, it felt bad in person. After getting two tennis courts in on the very firs stretch, I realized that this likely was not the right call with all of the lactic acid starting to build up. But the show must go on. So instead of calling an audible, definitely not because most of the other PAX had already finished the first stretch of Bear Crawls, we continued on. We eventually made it through two laps. But thankfully, I mean… sadly…, we ran out of time to Bear Crawl the last tennis court. So we just Gravity Stretched and then did thr COT.
If you are wondering where this workout came from, it came from the last workout I lead at Scrooge. There were still some exercises I had planned from that workout that I decided to keep and use for the next workout. However it works nicely since I was thinking that we would do Bear Crawls in the morning. This past week my roommates watched the Umbaran ark in Star Wars the Clone Wars which features Pong Krell a fallen jedi with 4 arms. He was not known to be a fallen jedi at the time. He was leading the troops on Umbara and had had the highest casualty rates during the war. He eventually had two groups of clones who were on the same side fight each other. Once they found out that they had been deceived and forced to fight each other due to intentionally bad intel, they went ahead and arrasted and later executed Pong Krell. Now you may ask why Pong Krell did all of this. Well, he wanted to get Count Dooku’s attention. Thus he was doing as many suicidal front charges as possible. Pong Krell had 4 arms and was unnecessarily brutal. When I was thinking about doing a workout based on that arc and saw what I already had listed, I knew it would be both. So we did Bear Crawls and something that was not pleasant overall.
Thanks to everyone that was there this morning who kept me motivated to keep going! Remember to pray for Chopper as he takes his EMT test tomorrow.
