2 Corinthians 3:18 — “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory…”
Psalm 139:23–24, Galatians 6:2, James 5:16, Luke 12:1-12
Men are often taught to project strength, success, and control. These things can easily become masks that block real connection and growth.
1. What are some common “masks” men wear? (E.g., control, humor, success, spirituality, busyness, pride)
2. Why do we feel pressure to wear them?
Taking off the mask doesn’t make you weak, it makes you real. That’s where transformation begins.
– James 5:16 — “Confess your sins to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”
– Galatians 6:2 — “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
1. What keeps men from being honest about struggles?
2. What’s one time you’ve seen honesty or vulnerability lead to breakthrough?
Where can you put down the mask and pick up the Cross in your life today or this week (great addition by Schnitzel)?
