THE THANG:

There is a movie called “Warm Bodies” that is filmed from a zombie’s perspective. The main male role sees a beautiful human girl and his heart starts to beat again. That character’s heart starts to beat and start to positively impact other zombies around him, and their hearts start to beat!

Each of us has a choice in this life – we can choose death, but why not choose life with Jesus because our hearts begin to beat with HIM!!

Read 1 Peter 1:1-25

Jesus is our Living Hope and a Sure Salvation –

We are to be like aliens – supernaturally distinct citizens of heaven – set a part because of Whom we belong to!! Pastor Tony Evans once said “be political group light and a primary citizen of heaven first”.

We discussed our inherence which makes us heirs to inherit the kingdom of heaven. If fact, it is imperishable and it will not fade away! Like the Word of God which is imperishable, we are born again through the living, enduring word of the Lord!

We spoke about trials of faith – which those trials are so valuable as the outcome is for God’s glory – we should rejoice in that!

Verse 21 – we are raised from the dead! So let’s choose today life everlasting from a well that never runs dry. We spoke of the sacrifices made way back when with the first fruits – the fattest, best calf, not the limping, lame second best. God deserves our best – our motive though is love! Imagine having to sacrifice a son like Abraham?! His willing obedience to God was unrelentless – luckily God spared Isaac, but is our love and faith that strong?!

Our darkest deepest, dirtiest sins which God hates, He still loves us more!! That is a testament of His divine wisdom that remains beyond our understanding.

Read 1 Peter 2:1-12

Like newborns to Christ, we can become Living Stones, rejecting the ways of men but rather choosing to live for the Lord. We from God and should strive to Live for God! We can become Living Stones chosen and Holy because God is holy! Greater is He, living in me than he who is in the world!

Read Galatians 2:20 & 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

We discussed the great exchange – God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us and in exchange we received the Lord’s righteousness! So let’s be new creations – joining Him in suffering and rejoicing at the foot of the cross!

We read Psalm 62 – such rich content! Read for yourself – bottom line – God is our refuge and no matter who persecutes you, those that do wrong, when things are hard – God is still in charge and we are not and He has the whole world in His hands!!
