THE THANG: we followed Daniel’s life…

Whether making up his mind to be faithful to God or standing firm in his relationship with the Lord.

1) chapter 1 – he and 3 brothers ate vegetables and water instead of choice food and wine. By not defiling their bodies they were better for it and God gifted them favor, knowledge, understanding (to Daniel, the gift to interpret visions)

2) chapter 3 – Shadrag, Meshack, and Abnego chose not to worship the king’s idol and stayed true to worshipping only our God – facing the king’s wrath they exclaimed, “we serve a God who can save us, but even if He doesn’t, we will worship Him!” They were survived the furnace unscathed and reflected the nature of God to the king!

3) chapter 6 – with prayer to anyone but the king being outlawed, and Daniel staying consistent in prayer to God…he landed in the lion’s den, yet God delivered him, causing the king to recognize God!

As men we have a choice to be consistent in the fruit bearing things or not!

What are we pursuing?

Is it the right thing or is it the temporary thing?!

Let’s chase after the “good part”, which is intimacy with God which will carry over to other relationships we have! Now that’s worth pursuing!!
