Disclaimer: you didn’t pay to be here and I ain’t (a) professional!
Warm-o-Rama (in cadence):
10 front claps
10 overhead claps
10 forward arm circles
10 reverse arm circles
10 low and slow squats
Mosey to Trinity big parking lot and line up across at the first light light pole.
Burpee broad jump to the far light pole. Once there, turn around and burpee broad jump back. At this time, Shuttlecock runs off “to go get better gloves” and disappears.
Next comes 11s…1 burpee at the near light pole and 10 squat jumps at the far light pole. Near the end of this, half of the pax were at the far light pole and YHC told them to stay there once the finished.
Next evolution was 4 corners…half pax starting in opposite corners to maintain small groups and physical distancing. Each corner consisted of 10 burpees and 10 squat jumps. Pax were instructed to run the long legs and bear crawl the shorts. Around this time, Shuttlecock reappeared after going home to get thicker gloves. Shuttlecock gets extra praise for coming back after entering his warm abode!
Once respective Pax reached the corner of origin, they were instructed to repeat but with 10 burpees and 10 Carolina dry docks at each corner. QIC also showed favor and said Pax could lunge the shorts to keep their hands from more frostbite.
Once Pax completed the corners, call was made to mosey back to Scrooge parking lot for endex.
YHC was asked by Paycheck to cover for him as his son had contracted the Covid. It was good being back in the gloom working with my brothers and being reminded that if you can’t do it, don’t Q it. Really helped to push me and keep me accountable to the exercise and the integrity of leading. As we go into this new week with changes happening in this great country, let us remember to hold each other up and help each other out. Let us be the mighty men we have been called to be in our families, our workplaces and our community.
And don’t forget, if you win the lottery, Ginger expects the tithe to be off the gross…

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
– Martin Luther King, Jr.
When: Sunday 1/17/21 5:30 am
Where: Maple Park 915 Gregg Ace. Florence, SC 29501
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day honors the life and legacy of a man who brought hope and healing to America. He was the father of peaceful protest, and one of the greatest champions of changing our government and our society. He was committed to serving others and making a difference in the community. Today is a good day to reflect on what we can do to serve our communities, no matter how small or big.
The Sunday Syrup route will be dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The route is 6 miles. During the ruck we will reflect on the impact of his accomplishments as well as strategize how can better serve our community individually and as a group.
*There will be NO Patch for this event, but don’t let that keep you from coming and joining us on this special Ruck.
