WARMUP:

Prayer

THE THANG:

We read through Genesis 16 & 17.

Q1) how many of us like to wait?

God is working in the waiting for His promises to be fulfilled. He is not late or slow, He is intentional! God gave Abraham 3 promises – 1) land, 2) descendants, and 3) blessing to ALL of the nations. Abraham and Sarah used Haggar to force God’s promise of children – giving birth to a lineage that would be cursed versus following God’s plan of prosperity & promise fulfillment.

When they failed an forced Go’s promise – God gave Saria and Abram a new name and another promise of an eternity of blessing and connection extended to all generations, ultimately pointing to

Jesus!

We spoke about an hourglass – we see pieces of God’s plan and in the bottleneck, we find ourselves in the waiting – where patience, faith and frustration collide…but God sees the entire picture! He is the Ultimate Architect!

The journey is a part of getting to the destination and necessary for plan fulfillment.

Q2) when have we tried to force something or control something that ultimately wasn’t ready or in our control?

Galatians 4:22-29 – illustrates two ways that people try to relate to God – 1) human effort – Haggar/Ishmael and 2) by God’s promise – Sarah/Isaac

MARY: prayer

BOM:

Men, this morning we’re reminded of a truth every one of us needs:

God’s promises are always perfect, but His process rarely matches our timeline.

Abraham and Sarah had a clear promise — but when it didn’t happen fast enough, they forced their own solution.

And like most of us know too well, when we force things out of insecurity or impatience, we create problems we were never meant to carry.

But here’s the hope:

Even when Abraham and Sarah messed it up, God didn’t quit on them.

He didn’t cancel the promise.

He didn’t shame them.

He simply called them back to trust.

Men, some of us are carrying things today that God never asked us to lift.

We’re forcing decisions, forcing outcomes, forcing control.

Today, instead of forcing the promise, let’s trust God’s process.

He is faithful. He sees the whole picture. His timing is never late — it’s always purposeful.

MOLESKIN:

Strong sharing and engagement today. The message hit home: Abraham tried to force what God wanted him to trust. Too many of us do the same — we force decisions, force relationships, force outcomes, and carry weights we weren’t meant to bear. The reminder today: don’t force the promise; trust God’s process. God doesn’t operate on our timeline, but He is always faithful to His. Be the man who waits well, leads well, and trusts fully. Patience isn’t weakness — it’s strength under God’s control.
