We read Luke 22:39-46 – Jesus in Gethsemene and the cup (filled with the full wrath of God – Isaiah 51:17-20) Jesus asking for God to take this cup away or if it is His will, He accepts it!

We also read Matthew 26:36-46 which runs parallel with the Luke versus. Jesus reminds the disciples and us to stay alert and not fall asleep to sin! Satan is prowling like a roaring lion…stay alert!

Which brings us to John 19:25-30 – Jesus sees the Mary’s and John coming and realizing that scripture had been fulfilled and He confirms “He is Thirsty” for the cup of wrath!! Exclaiming “it is finished!”
