  • 10 Big Boi Jump Squats/Bouchers- full squat, back flat, smack asphalt, full jump with arms reaching up and full extension

THE THANG:

  • Overhead Carries to the flag pole, halt
  • Rock Superset
    • Rock MerkinsStability pushups- one hand on rock, one on ground x 10 each hand
    • Rock Cleans– deadlift(back straight, almost scrape shins, to stand up head up/shoulders back), curl, overhead press x 10
    • Tricep Extensions- 6-8 (or sixty eight)
    • Big Boi Jump Squats x 10 and admire rock, don’t take it for “granite”
  • Rock Indian Ruck to Cheraw/Woodstone- man at back runs to the front
  • CAVE MAN VOLLEYBALL- at side hill facing Woodstone, Rock toss, space 6′ apart, toss away from curb, toss to curb. shoot-a-freethrow like a 5 year old, engage core, explode legs and arms
  • Overhead Press and Calf Raise at same time x 10
  • Form 2 columns of 3 men. Rock Indian Run to flagpole.
  • Rock Superset 2

      • Box Jumps x 10

    • Rock Merkins- Stability pushups- one hand on rock, one on ground x 10 each hand
    • Rock Cleansdeadlift(back straight, almost scrape shins, to stand up head up/shoulders back), curl, overhead press x 10
    • Tricep Extensions– 6-8 (or sixty eight)

  • ROCKHOPPERS-at straightaway in carpool line next to The Quarry: Space 3 rocks to a centerline stripe, continue pattern until all rocks used.
    •   Broad jump over rocks, jailbreak to next lighpole mosey back. Typically, Pax burpee until the man in front has jumped 3 rocks, but today we had too many Unexcused Absences so we all just kept going
    • 3 rounds
  • Return rocks, recover.
  • Mosey 1 lightpole then
  • Jailbreak to stopsign.

I wanted to revisit what I took away from Knobby’s 3rd F:

1- Learn the playbook 2 – tee it up 3- thank you Mr. Rogers: Treat yourself well and you might treat others even better.

1- Tee it up:  Look for opportunities to set someone up for success, and bonus points if you can do it anonymously. Although the inclination may be to want to get credit for things, and exhibit competence and thus get praise and credit, we should challenge ourselves to serve others and expect nothing in return. Leave it better than you found it. Look for the window to tee it up and set up someone else for success. It may be right there and you didn’t even notice it.

2- Learn the Playbook: Do that which is right in front of you with excellence; bloom where you are planted. Excel at the opportunities in front of you; don’t take them for granted. Jump high and fully extend your arms, because you can.

Peyton Manning answered that if he was chosen, the first thing that hat he would do would be to learn the playbook. The other guy said if he was chosen the first thing he would do would be to take everyone to Miami. Guess who got the job.

3- Treat yourself well and you might treat those that you come across or live with even better.
