THE THANG: – Read Ephesians 4:1-3 & 1 Samuel 17

The world expects men are one thing and God another….Paul reminds us that in our weakness, He make us strong!

“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

We asked “what is a leader to you? What should that look like? What does the world tell us that looks like?

We see leadership examples in David…the world says Goliath looks like the example of a man, 9 ft 9inches with donned armor and weapons weighing a lot…strong and self-righteous, where David is small in stature and a humble shepherd whose confidence is in the Lord!

Don’t let the world tell you how you measure up or should live or what’s important…the ball field, the billfold, the bedroom!! No, let humilty, servant-hearted, compassion define you!

We wrapped up with reflecting on how God has shown up in our lives, whether seen or unseen at that time and reminded that He answers on His terms and His timing!!

He is in charge and I am not! Thankful for that!!
