God is funny is He enjoys laughter.

Growing up I always thought God, specifically Jesus, was this very serious and slow-talk figure. As I get older I realize He is funny and has a great sense of Humor.

Comedy is important in our household. The M and I met doing Improv at our local theater. I like to think that part of God making us to His image means we get his funny personality too.

The Bible mentions that God laughs at nation that stand against Him (Psalm 59:8). In the Bible most of the time laughter is used as part of rejoicing in God. Laughter can sometimes even be praise. (Psalm 126:2)

The Bible also tells us that we have time to morn and time to to laugh. (Ecclesiastes 3:4).

My goal for this morning was to remind the PAX that we need to rejoice in the day the Lord has made and fine comfort in laughter. (Psalm 118:24)

The Thang:

– The PAX took turns to tell jokes while the rest of the PAX tried not to laugh

– We then played the Improv Game called “Questions.”

– We played the Improv Game called “Voice Over.” Squatter has a great French accent and Knobby imitates really well a Frenchman smoking.

– We played the Improv Game called “Sound Effects.” Shnitzel is a natural at Improv.

– The PAX then finished by playing “World’s Worst…” – Boucher had the perfect answer to “World’s worst cop…”
